WHY STEEL VENGEANCE IS VERY SENTIMENTAL TO ME

slight tw for suicide mention

because of several mental illnesses & trauma i've suffered (& still do), i always thought i'd die by the age of 16. when i made it to 16, i upped it to 18.to keep a very, very long story short, working cedar point changed my life drastically. i went from 4+ years of a depressive hole, to having hope for the first time in my life. 2020 was the first year i entered knowing i was going to get through it.
it just so happened steel vengeance was the ride i worked at. this could have been the case for any other ride, too. it reminds me that i am capable of achieving some form of happiness & hope, no matter how bad things get.this ride is incredibly important to me. i am not here to exhaust myself over & over to try and explain how much it has done for me. i just want to share my love for something that in all literal senses saved my life. i would not be here if i did not work at cedar point in 2019. please be mindful of this.if you participate in the trend of hating steel vengeance & place it into my mentions it is an immediate block. especially if i don't know you well. i do not care if you hate the ride. getting a reaction out of a ND person isn't funny. grow up. this doesn't include having a civil discussion of differing opinions. you don't have to like it in order to follow me. it's not that deep.you can assume similar feelings for skyrush. the story goes a bit differently.
